Signing Up for Christmas Mass
As mentioned in last week’s bulletin we are asking everyone to let us know which Christmas Mass time you’ll be attending for Christmas. This will help us plan appropriately. We will then know which Masses will need to be broadcast to the IC basement and St. Joseph PLC and how many distributors of Holy Communion will need to be scheduled.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind as you plan for Christmas Masses. We will be socially distancing during Mass. To save space, please try to fill up an entire pew with family members whom you don’t mind sitting next to. As you let us know which Mass you are attending, you won’t be guaranteed a spot in the Church itself. Some will have to sit in the basement of Immaculate Conception or the Parish Life Center at St. Joseph. No matter where you are sitting, we will bring Holy Communion to you.
To let us know which Mass you plan to attend, visit our website at Petersburgparishes.org. On the homepage, there is a button entitled “Christmas 2020.” From here you’ll see the Mass schedule and a couple of notes. At the bottom of the page is a link for the page to sign up. You can sign up to 10 people to attend a particular Mass. We will be regularly posting the link on Facebook. Here’s the link to the signup.
If you can sign up for Masses online, that would be very beneficial. However if you don’t have the technology or ability to sign up online, you can register in person after Masses next weekend (December 19-20). After all seven Masses, a member of our staff will be available to register you.
Please make sure that you only register you or your family members once. We continue to ask everyone to wear a mask so that as many people as possible, especially our at-risk parishioners, feel comfortable celebrating Christmas Mass. If you are an usher, lector, or distributor of Holy Communion, please pay attention to your email for the liturgical schedules. We will get a schedule to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We look forward to seeing all of you at Christmas Mass! We will have a couple of Christmas gifts and surprises to share with everyone.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Sean Wilson
